Hello,

 

Finally bothered to learn how to use unraid. Next step I need to setup a single computer running 4 - 8 highish end desktops capable of running standard pieces of engineering software like Altium, COMSOL, ANSYS, Solidworks, as well as other software like photoshop, premiere pro, and after effects. Due to the weirdness of how the budget works (I finally got one to replace the 10 year old desktops that people had been using to this point). I'm planning on going with a virtualization setup in order to maximize the utility for everyone up front in case I don't have the budget to complete the build (Add additional GPUs, RAM etc.)

 

Beyond that just saying hi, 

I design CMOS image sensors for my research and I'll try and post some of the progress there when cool milestones have been reached.
