GPU Power Cables

Looking at building a new PC ive been trying to find a nice asthetic and something that really bothers me is the power cable port position on graphics cards why are they on the top?

There might be a simple answer to the regarding the layout of circuitboards etc but i really dont know why you wouldn't have it on the lower right side of the card (looking straight on from the fan side).

It would make such a big difference to the asthetics of a build if GPU power cables plugged in and then could vanish through to the back of the case so you dont have this cable hanging there.

 

love to hear what othe people think and if anybody has a reason for the current and standard positioning of the port.

I don’t know why the ports are there but if it really bothers you maybe you should take a look at the evga power link. I have one and it’s pretty nice, not the slimmest thing but it really makes the cable management look nicer.
