Mixing Ram

Hey everyone,

 

In my current system, I have 32gb of Corsair vengance DDR4 3000 speed ram with CL16.I'm upgrading to 64GB for game development and I want some advice. I found another 32 gig kit of Corsair Vengance on BestBuy.com that is CL16 but 3200 Speed. I have XMP enabled on my motherboard. Would my higher speed ram just rum at 3000? Or are there other issues I may face?

Nobody can promise you anything. Most of the time running 64gb forces chips to run Jedec frequencies (2667mhz or less) on lower end memory kits.
