That is a pretty awful parts list 😬

The 9900K is old at this point, so no point in going with it unless the price is a steal.

Why such an expensive case ?

That board will more than likely throttle with a 9900K and the cooler isn't good enough either for that cpu.

I would want a better psu for a £1500 build. The Corsair CV isn't terrible but if you are upgrading the gpu later on to an RTX 3xxx then you would want a better unit.

No point buying a GT 1030. Might as well just use the igpu until gpu prices return to normal (Assuming you plan on buying a better gpu)

Also as mentioned above, what is the pc for ?

£1,

Whatever you intend to do, get something else than a BQ Dark 900. It's almost a sealed box and you 9900K (or whatever else you put in there) will have terrible thermals.
case and point: https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3335-be-quiet-dark-base-pro-900-rev2-benchmarks-review

If you want to spend that much on a silent case, I have a cooler master mastercase 500H mesh that have 35C on normal load and is nearly silent and is easier to build in. You can also go with something of little less pricey like a Phanteks p450 mesh that is also almost silent.

£1,

Up the PSU, why do you want to put an m-atx (very small) motherboard in an EATX  (very large) case?

Some of the specs are not exact enough to do a true 1:1, but a similar build would cost you about £1250-1300 for the parts. I'm not sure if £1500 is the actual cost to you or just your overall budget, but either way, it doesn't seem like you're getting ripped off or anything, if this is a prebuilt (labor/shipping costs, etc.).

That said, you can do better. Here's a build I threw together with better parts for even cheaper, actually.

PCPartPicker Part List

I swapped the 9900K or an 11700K. Same cores/threads and better performance overall. Plus, it's actually modern hardware, along with a modern mobo to go with it. The cooler you have in your build seems to be a 120mm. That's not good enough. There's a 240mm in this build. I went with the best value that had RGB so it would be as close to an apples to apples swap. There's even better ones (including air coolers, instead) that can be had for more money or without RGB, but this will do. I also swapped the PSU for something quality versus the not so great one in your build.

Also that case. A large part of the reason this build is cheaper is that I swapped that almost £300 case for something with actual decent airflow and that made sense for the build. The case you chose is *huge*, and you literally weren't making use of any of the space with just a single HDD and an mATX board in something designed for EATX.

One final note. The 1030 is a good stand-in for a real GPU later (it's at least better than integrated graphics), but you need to make sure you get the GDDR5 version of it. It comes in a GDDR4 version as well, but that's craptastic. I'm not sure which was in your build, but I made sure that the one in my build above is at least GDDR5.
