Hello! I have just finished my build, booted into Windows and I have seen thtat my cpu is running pretty hot in idle (40-60 degrees). Is it normal?

Build: H510 elite with stock fans & R7 5800x & Noctua NH-U12S

I have applied the thermal paste myself.

What are the temps under full continuous load?

That sounds completely normal, especially with that case using air.  Completely normal for Ryzen 5000.

As for a full load, Cinebench is an easy go-to these days.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

how should i test it? will league's practice tool do?

No, Use Prime95 with SmallFFT algorithm since it will put an unrealstic load on your CPU. If it doesn`t overheat there then it won`t in other applications/regular use

Your case is bad, VERY bad, It has no airflow at all, replace the case for something with a mesh front, and you likely will be fine
