I recently bought a new 2070 super second hand and for some reason it doesn't operate at 100% when I'm gaming. I've tested it with furmark and it happily reaches 100% usage and gets scores you would expect from a 2070s but during games like MSFS 2020 and DCS (high-ultra settings at 1440p), which are what I'd most commonly use it for, it usually sits at 50-70% usage whilst I only get around 35 fps only very occasionally bumping to 90-95%.

I've looked at CPU usage when I'm gaming as I've seen from other threads that it can be a bottleneck but it operates at a maximum of 55% on MSFS 2020 when using all cores. It also doesn't seem to be limited by ram as I have 32GB and it uses around 19. It also shouldn't be thermal throttling as it never gets above 70 degrees C and I've put the limit at 85. Finally I did need to buy a new PSU for this card and both pc part picker and the PALIT website for this specific GPU said that 550W should be sufficient if I'm not OC.

It might also be helpful to know that before this I had a 1660 and I never had this problem. I also don't know much about computers so I haven't messed with any bios settings.

Specs:

CPU: i5-10600KF

GPU: Palit RTX 2070 super Jetstream

Motherboard: B460M Mortar

RAM: 32GB 2400MHz

PSU: Fractal ION+ 560W 80+ Plat

Please let me know if you need more information and thanks for any help :)
