Hello all, sorry if there is a thread already or a different section this should be in.  But I had an interview today with a tech company for a help desk position, they did ask if I would be interested in a network installation engineer position because of my interest in networking.  It would mostly be printers and every once in a while switches and firewalls.  I'm not sure about the pay, but the help desk is remote while there is going to be travel with the engineer position.  Which one would you pick and why?

Thanks for reading!

Personally I would choose the network installation *technician* position because I prefer working with hardware & computers more than people (and I emphasize "technician" in this sentence because where I live it is illegal to call yourself an engineer without having an engineering license -- depending on where you live, 'network technician' may also be a regulated profession, so you might want to read up on that as well).  Also, with network technician work it feels like there'd be more room to move up.

a word or two

If I have to explain every detail, I won't talk to you.  If you answer a question with what can be found through 10 seconds of googling, you've contributed nothing, as I assure you I've already considered it.

What a world we would be living in if I had to post several paragraphs every time I ask a question.
