Budget (including currency): 2000$ USD( computer parts only no accessories)

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: general school work, COD, any game I feel I wanna start playing other games like valorant and csgo or whatever may come up. I have a PS5 and play a bunch but I want to enjoy the PC experience as well. I also want to be able to mess with things such as video editing, photoshop, music, coding. I just want a good pc that can play games and allow me to experiment with different things

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

CPU: (AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM4 105W 100-100000061WOF Desktop Processor) or (AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Vermeer 8-Core 3.8 GHz Socket AM4 105W 100-100000063WOF Desktop Processor)

Motherboard: MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-32GVK

GPU:(MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC) or (GIGABYTE GeForce GT 1030 Low Profile D4 2G DirectX 12 GV-N1030D4-2GL Video Card)

Case: I have no selected a case as it seems to be a hard decision. I don't care to much for the look of it but I don't want a stupid looking one. One that is pretty  big would be nice so I can fit whatever parts i may need to. I also want a case with good air flow.

Power Supply: CORSAIR RMx Series RM850x CP-9020180-NA 850W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply

Storage:(SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7S1T0B/AM) and (Seagate BarraCuda ST2000DM008 2TB 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive)

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151

Operating System: Windows 10 home 64-bit( will need to get one somehow)

Other Parts: I need help figuring out what thermal compound to use as well as other fans for keeping the PC cool. I also need to know if theres any parts id need to order that I don't know of.

Accessories

So for things such as mouse, keyboard, headphones, desk, and monitor those are all things I wish to upgrade slowly over time. With a monitor being the first. I plan to use two monitors and for most games I am fine with 1080p-1440p and 120herz. I like fps competitive games so having a good refresh rate is what I need.

Extra Info

I want to build my first ever PC. Currently I'm just using a a laptop for school and I play games on my PS5. For the CPU I will just get whichever of the two is available. For Motherboard I've tried my best doing research but would appreciate any feed back on if I should choose something else. Memory I would want either 8gb sticks or 16gb sticks at atleast 3200 but if yall know something better I would love to know. GPU as most people know is a little bit of a struggle to get but those two are placeholder choices as cards I did not think were trash and were cheap and could hold me over till i can get a 30 series. For case I have thought of (Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX High-Airflow Compact Dark Tint Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case, FD-CA-MESH-C-BKO-TG) or (Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG PH-ES614PTG_BK Integrated RGB lighting Tempered Glass Side Panel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Black) but really just want help picking out something good.

For Power supply I just want something that is 850 gold certified fully modular. For Storage I just chose what I thought was best I wanted a 1tb SSD and I just chose a 2tb hard drive since they were not expensive. For CPU Cooler I really have no clue so I just chose what I thought would be good.

1) Upgrade the Cooler. Get at least a Scythe Fuma 2 or ideally an NH-D15 from Noctua. Don't put a $40 cooler on a $500 CPU.

Would swap the 970 EVO plus with an SN550, SN550 performs very similarly for significantly less money.

The Enthoo Pro is a big case. I would consider the Meshify C and the Corsair 4000D.

Wouldn't worry about thermal compound. The one that comes with your CPU cooler is good enough.

the 5900x and 5800x dont come with coolers in the box. I would recommend something like a hyper 212 or NHU12S at least

Hyper 212 is an overpriced pos

Get a freezer 34 (non esport non duo) or se 224 xt, they will prob perform the same whilst being ~10$ cheaper than the hyper 212

If you wanna oc then go for a fuma 2, drp4, nhd15 for air, or liquid freezer 280-420 for aio

You dont need x570 unless you want to run more than 1 gen4 nvme drive (most ppl dont even need the speed of gen4 nvme)

Get a b550 board instead like b550a pro, b550 tomahawk, b550f, etc.

Just go for a p300a and shove 2 arctic p12 fans in it, or go for lancool 215 for a complete fan setup pre installed (rgb fans on the front)
