H220 Owners

Go to solution Solved by MegaDave91,

I asked on the Swiftech forums and here's what Bryan, a mod, had to say.

"This won't void your warranty. Just be sure before you install the tubing back on the pump that you pour a little coolant into both ports, on either side, first. This will prevent the pump from sucking in air when you start it again.

Once you have the tubing reconnected then just completely refill your kit with the coolant. You can just use a clean container to drain it into when you empty it. That way the coolant can be used again once you've shortened the tubing. I hope this answers your question.

Regards,"

For anyone who owns an H220 and shortened the tubing; how'd you do it? Do you just drain, cut and refit the tubing? Do you have to use new coolant?

Youd need more coolant as you would be adding more tubing and water blocks.

I'm not expanding; there's just an excess of tubing that I wouldn't mind ridding of.

I think that's it. Since yours is brand new, I would think that reusing the supplied coolant would be ok.

Hmm, ok. I'll see what others have to say. Thanks.

Apologies. Yes you should be fine with the existing coolant.

Drain the loop, cut the tubing, re attach everything and the refill with old coolant and you would be absolutely fine.

Alright, I might give it a shot down the road since I only got it yesterday and don't want to void the warranty. Thanks.
