Hello, I started seeing red dots(small to medium sized paint brush) appearing at random intervals and random places while gaming at different games but still works without a problem.

Is this a sigh that my GPU is saying has had enough ?

It can be, but it can also be a bad monitor cable.

The cable is brand new that came with my monitor 5 months ago, so I didn't consider it.

I've had plenty of problems with cables and sockets, especially in the monitor itself.  HDMI is especially bad as its only friction fit so can work itself loose over time.  Displayport I've found a lot more reliable.

That said, one of the Displayports on my GPU has gone bad and the HDMI is loose (I have swapped it over a lot) so I sometimes have to re-seat the cable to get a picture.  But in the past I've had random pixels on the screen too if its just barely holding onto the signal.

I forgot to mention that the dots are a small to medium paint brush size and I am on display port.

If they are bigger than a single pixel then that IMO points more to a GPU problem.  😞 Signal problems generally cause individual pixel errors.
