Upgrading graphics card

Hey, thinking about upgrading my graphics card for when Battlefield 2042 comes and other future games but since I don't follow what's new and stuff at all I have no idea what would be the "best" choice. 

 

I am also aware that there is a shortage of graphics cards and the prices have risen significantly so I will wait until it normalizes.

 

Budget: like 300-500 euro

The RTX 3060 Ti falls right in that price range quite nicely. Obviously impossible to obtain for that price at the moment, but that's what you'd buy if you could just simply walk into a store and choose any GPU you wanted...
