really irritating problem

i am just a casual minecraft player with a crappy laptop that could just load mc perfectly but suddenly it takes ages to load a single chunk aka it makes it impossible for me to play mc properly someone please try to help me to fix it

Chunks are CPU bound, if the CPU is too hot or overloaded its going to take a long time to load chunks. Consider closing any background tasks and be sure the laptop is plugged in to get the most performance out of it. Also make sure the inlets for the fan isn't blocked.

 

Other than those things not much else you can do. Enjoy~

i just started my pc up and it is not hot at all i just have my laptop sitting at my desk plugged in and that was the same setup as i had before but still not good loading power.
edit: and while i was typing the post i was loading up a mc world it is not loaded yet rn for some reason

there is only balanced(gebalanceerd) i think it is becus my laptop is for school

if i use cmd to try to change it to ultimate preformance this happens

it is as if my cpu is not even trying to load minecraft. is it possible that i accidently damaged my cpu by playing with it a lot( i know it thermal throttles and if it gets even hotter it just shuts down). or that i accidently instead of overclocked it underclocked it(i dont think that is possible because if i recall correctly i have a locked cpu)

Ultra performance only exists for workstation versions of windows, Try the High Performance setting. If it doesn't change its locked by your system administrator.

oh it is locked by my sys admin then

okay i changed up some settings in minecraft itself and now it loads it correcly again

btw is there also a way to increase the backlight of a laptop screen beyond the normal max brightness?
