Hi Everyone! I am looking for a great quality headset for Gaming, any price is fine... i don't have a budget just kinda looking for something excellent. I play MMO games, stream on twitch, talk with people on discord. I have a condenser microphone already, so no microphone is needed on the headset. I prefer wireless, but if it is a lot cheaper wired then i will go for that, whatever output gives the highest quality. I also have the Focusrite 2i2i usb audio interface. Thank you for your time!

a headset is headphone with microphone .... so if you don't need micorphone you are looking for a headphone

 

wired is always better than wireless in sound quality and you can change the dac and amp if you want to, there's no added latency and there's a lot more high end offering for wired than wireless.

 

So for a headset (let's say you still want microphone on it) the best closed back are probably the cooler master mh751 and mh752 along with the hyper x cloud 2 ... those are based on an actually good headphone the takstar pro 82 and takstar pro 80.  As for open back your best option is probably the sennheiser pc37x or pc38x.

 

For a closed back headphone the ones I see that are mostly recommended are the akg k361 and akg k371, dt770 maybe.

As for open back headphone there's the akg k612pro, akg k712pro, sennheiser hd6xx, hd600, hd650, dt990, dt880 and so on ... there's a lot of good open back headphone that are good for music and for gaming.
