Dark screen

Hello so i have a samsung odyssey g5 2k 144hz monitor and im wondering Whats wrong i got i brand new and it was working fine but then next day have the screen was dark i restarted just the screen and now it’s fine again can someone help?

Looks like part of the backlight didn't start up. a power cycle kicked it back into gear.

 

However i would return it and get a new one. a new monitor should NOT be acting like that.
