Question about Ram speeds

So I recently realized that I was only running 2666mhz for my ram speed so I went to go enable it in the Bios. When I went into the bios I selected profile 1 then saved and exited. But when I turn on my pc and look in my task manager it still says 2666mhz. (btw I have a gigabyte b450m ds3h, i5 9400, and 3200 corsair rgb). Is it mobo not being compatible with xmp, can my cpu not run 3200mhz, Or do I need to do something else. Please help. Thanks
