Hi everyone,

I have decided that I want to finally build myself a gaming PC. I have already made the list, based off a budget of $2000 (I live in Australia). If anyone could give me any recommendations, that would be great. If you didn't notice, this build has a Black and Orange theme, so if you are going to recommend any other parts please make sure they fit that criteria.

Future Upgrades

Eventually I will be adding another 8gb of G.Skill Ares, in two 4gb modules. I will also most likely buy either a H100i or H105 for overclocking down the track.

*Please Note: The case is the Black & Orange edition, I just couldn't find it on Part Picker :(

Also it is $1982, as opposed to $1899, as I need to get all the items delivered.

Thanks!

From what I can tell dual 760's seem to be better on most games than the 780, plus that kinda steers away from my colour combination :/
Thanks for the help though!

orange phantom coolieos

and a single 780 will do better

1. not all games are optimized for sli

2. the 780's a far better card and you can always save up a bit more later down the road and get a second

I'll look into the 780

though I really want dual 760's no particular reason, just cos :)

in the long run sli inst worth it but if you do just want it for the case looking full then go ahead im just recommending a single 780

If you're sure you will get that case then all you need to do is take your initial build, change the GPU to GTX 780, PSU to ~ 750W EVGA SuperNova NEX750B~ it should keep you at the same price point and still maintain the color scheme

Alright

Do you think when the Maxwell 800 desktop series comes out the 780 will drop in price?

not generally this happened to me i was thinking of getting a second 680 after the 700 series and good knows why the 680 prices sky rocketed, maybe after a bit but its all up to how prices are trending theres every chance it will or will not drop

Personally I dont think so, it's already a surprised that it drop to 500 when 780Ti come out, but it's because they want to have advantage over the 290 from AMD, when 800 series come out I think that it's price will fall along the line of current GPU, like 880 = 780 price + 50-100$~

Seems reasonable

though will it do what the 600 series did, and just drop off the map

like in Aus you can but a 610 through to 660 for a reasonable price, but like 670s and 680s have, as SAV1OUR said, skyrocketed
