One of my coworkers is asking for advice for a new laptop.

She wants to be able to run Adobe Lightroom, silhouette studio, and also have a good amount of storage.

Recommended specs are:

16gb RAM

GPU with DirectX 12 support

4gb of VRAM

She said under $2,500, which I feel she could get a pretty awesome laptop for significantly less than that to do what she wants to do. Give me your suggestions if you have anything! Thank you in advance!

Asus g15 or a lenovo legion 5 (whichever version of the new ones she likes).

I mean she realistically can even get away with the likes of a hp envy x360 with a ryzen 6 core in it and 16gb of ram for 700$ or something as even heavy use of these apps aren't really well hard to do. Keep in mind this laptop has very thin feets and thus gets little air causing some cooling issues. Literally lifting it up half a cm can cause a 40c drop in temps.

2500 is so beyond overkill for what she needs. A decent basic laptop is beyond plenty for these tasks.
