I just got a new laptop that doesn't have very much storage, so I want to add a new SSD. There is an open slot in the laptop for an m.2 ssd, but it's a little covered with wires and stuff. I'm hesitant to move anything because I'm paranoid I'll break something. It looks like it's just a piece of tape, the big wire which I'm not sure what it does, and and connections to the speakers. Does it look like it will be fine to just remove the tape and tuck away the cables? I know this is kind of a stupid question but I'm just paranoid.

The tape just holds it down. Im sure you can slightly lift it, slip in the ssd and rest it down on the ssd and shud be fine.
