Dent With CPU

Go to solution Solved by MultiGamerClub,

Shouldnt be an issue, unless you have damaged the actual contacts.. Which it looks like you havent.

Dented my own 1700 on the side (not the pins) and a small chuck/chunk flew off. (Still works)

So i was going through my spare parts and i came across an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, i was going to sell it before i saw a little dent on the side of the cpu, not on the contacts tho. I cannot test out the cpu so i was wondering if it impacts the cpu?

the dent itself isn't a problem but if it's dented it's probably because it got hit by something or fell - and the impact may have damaged the cpu.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
