Hey guys,

I was making a parts list, and I thought about the GPU. My friend has 2 cards on hand and let me have free reign on which one I want. They're all 3070s from these models.

EVGA XC3 Ultra 3070

ASUS Tuf Gaming OC 3070

Which one is better?

I have a 5800X/5900X to go along with it.

One more question, would I get a performance increase by going from a 5800X to a 5900X with the same GPU, or will I end up bottlenecking? I stream and plan to play in 1440p in medium/high settings, and I am playing Warzone, Modern Warfare, CSGO, Minecraft Java Edition, Minecraft Win10 (& RTX), and Forza Horizon 4. My target FPS is at least 115 in my desired settings.

EVGA Support is quite good, might want to factor that in. You'll notice little to no difference in actual gaming performance, assuming you keep them both cool.

Might want to read through both of those completely.

In the games you listed the 5800X will provide the same experience overall. 8 cores and 16 threads sure is plenty, it would be my choice

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Mini rant: holy hell that word "bottleneck" gets overused far too much these days, especially compared to how many people seem to understand what it actually means.

Anyway, reviews comparing the 5600x, 5800x and 5900x in gaming have been out for many months but the long and short of it is, between the 5800x and 5900x in games its extremely minimal. 0-5fps in most scenarios. I bought a 5800x for this reason.
