Recently my cpu (5800x) temps increased drastically to the limit of throttling (90)C and the spike is instantaneous which is unusual for AIOs as far as I know
meanwhile the liquid temp sets between 32 and 35C ( basically Chill)
The rads and tubes are not hot to touch
The pump and the fans are working according to CAM
2800 RPM for the pump and 1800 RPM for the fans (running in performance mode)
I Checked and re plugged all the cables.
I Tried repasting the thermal paste, I used NT-H1, Thermaltake TG30 no luck.
I checked the mounting pressure (screws) and remounted it several times.
Rad is mounted on the top with fans oriented in exhaust configuration

I spent 2 days troubleshooting the issue with no luck, I even tried the old hyper212 and it was better. Should I file an RMA ?
System specs
ryzen 7 5800x (stock settings)
NZXT kraken X62
32GB G skill ripjaws v 3200 ram

hmmm thats intereasting there are some reddit posts on this subject but there is this explanation from toms hardware about why idle temps on it are so high

It's your software (nzht) that is doing this. What is happening is the man of the cores are not in use and go into idle mode, and then the hardware monitoring software "polls" the idle cores by sending a wakeup call (small voltage spike) for a brief moment, the cpu core spikes during wakeup, and then settles back down into idle mode. Rinse, lather repeat.

Not 100% sure if this helps but you might want to get some thermal camera and other things to check whether thats your actual temps but dont file an rma before you check if the rad has enough airflow is it restricted  can all help to get people to answer your questions better

also ryzen 5000 series cpus are designed to reach 90 -95 degrees on load

also "exhaust position so basically science tells you that hot air rises therefore hot air from gpu and ther things rises through you rad so your essentially cooling your rad with hot air (this might be right not 100% sure) that might explain the super high load temps

No, 5800x Caps at 90 then it throttles and ofc there is no way that the old hyper 212 is outperforming the kraken normally right ?

Again no, the Gpu is idle at 30C, and I have tried Front mounting the rad

front mount tubes at the bottom or top  pump

Tried front mounting with tubes at the bottom.
I think something is wrong within the coldplate, the liquid temp barely changes, stays 32c chill during cincebench run + the spike is instantaneous which is unusual for AIOs, maybe the microfins are clogged ?
like the rad is not even hot.

The aio is 3 years old
The cpu is completely stock settings

you might be on too something with the aio fins being clogged but also try configuring your rad in a pull config and testing cinebench and games temps

also do you have a pic of the rig

Nope I meant the block microfins not the rad

I appreciate your help but no, amd processors are soldered, they don't use TIM under the IHS so it's a different problem.

that links about particles and aio tubes and the block getting deterioated to the point where the coolant has little to no effects

so by the looks of things there is plenty of airflow so thats one thing that cant be possible

2 the aio is clogged  so disassembly and check is reuired but before you do that try

a pull ocnfiguration so it pulls cool air through the rad fins

Disassembly would void the warranty, I sent NZXT a support ticket, so i will wait and see.

oh, I see. My bad

try my ideas with a pull config instead of push(exhaust)

if you want to submit an rma please dont disassemble the aio otherwise they wont give it too you

didnt see your last comment before i wrote this sorry
