I recently checked my windows update and saw that it isn't working. It was showing the error code 0x80070422. I tried troubleshooting it but it couldn't find any problems.

I tried to start the service but it always gets disabled right away, I tried a lot of stuff I found on google but it still isn't working. It automatically gets disabled no matter what I do. It says ' the service has stopped because there isn't any devices' something like that, please help, I can't download apps from the store too due to this problem. Also it is showing error code 1058

use windowskey and r together

there type services.msc

go down to Windows Update and check the Starttype. 1058 usually says can't start service due to it being deactivated.

if it is deactivated, rightclick on it, go to its settings and switch it to manuell or automatic.

I had tried this but it still deactivates itself again

Did you do some "System optimizing" or use a tool for that in the past?

And it won't run on after starting it.

If it goes back to deactivated you could have a virus or some piece of software that prevents windows update from running.

Had a similar issue few months back

what helped me is using the manual updater which afterwards restored automatic updates
