I installed Pop OS on my laptop and was preparing it to use as the daily driver. After doing system updates and fixing some wifi instabilities I tried to fix the display hardware buttons not working by adding a configuration file to /usr/share/X11 according to a tutorial online. Unfortunately what was supposed to fix that minor annoyance made my system completely non bootable.

So, I booted from a live USB to delete the problematic file from the system, but it keeps denying me the permission to delete.

Edit: I found out how to delete and fixed the boot issue.

How can I fix my hardware brightness and airplane buttons? (Laptop: HP 15 da-1071ne)
