A question about windows License

SloppyNinjaa

I had\have an Acer Office PC that originally came with Windows 8.1 that got upgraded to W10,I don't have a key and I'm guessing the license was tied to the motherboard.

When I built my gaming PC I tied the license to my Microsoft account so I wouldn't have to buy a windows license.

What happens if I install windows 10 on that office machine again? Will my main\gaming PC lose the license or will the office pc just not have an active license?

I was thinking of either selling that PC or just giving it away to a family member that might need PC but I don't want to risk not having a license on my main pc.

I would suggest calling Microsoft Support for this.

Since you want to give that PC to someone(or sell), you can use the Reset option in Windows Settings, which will remove everything and restore to factory settings.

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.
