Laptop's touchpad malfunctioning

Hello LTT community, I own a msi modern 14 with a ryzen 5 4500u laptop

I bought it about a month ago on amazon and has been rarely used because I bought it for travel and stuff, but because lockdown Im just getting fat playing video games on my beast PC xD

The trackpad of the laptop double clicks, reverse accelerates (I swipe up, the pointer goes down) or most of the time just doesnt care if I move my mouse and it disappeared from the device manager today

 

I have tried uninstalling the device several times and reinstalling the drivers but I end up always where I started from with this issue, I would try a bios update after its done charging and wont try restoring a restore point since the best it could do is reinstalling a driver and I've done that already

 

an external mouse works flawlessly and so does anything else, I never hit it physically either , it just decided to die on my yesterday, I hope it isnt any hardware malfunction because going to a service centre during this lockdown will be very unpleasing 

 

Is there something else I can try? I have the warranty but the service centre stays close most of the time

update- even updating to the latest bios did nothing
