After a random amount of time my wifi wil stop working. it will still be connected at the bottom. If I'm watching a YouTube video it will stop and there will be a spinning circle. If I search something on google it will be stuck loading, it wont say "no connection" or show the dinosaur. my wifi is still connected but it doesn't work. then after maybe 1 to 5 mins, it will start working again.

I bought a new wifi card yesterday and I noticed that my speeds were alot faster but I still lose connection after some time. My old work card would be 50mbps now I get 160mbps.

This problem was started by one of 2 things that happened in the same day. First was that my grandpa kicked my pc whilst getting out of bed because my pc was temporarily in his room. After he kicked it a bunch of the small cables like front panel connectors and fan cables had become lose or came out. Also, I played warzone with bunch of my friends in the uk. I'm in canada. This was after I plugged in all the cables. I would get kicked out of warzone games. Since then my internet connection has never been stable.

i have tried clean windows install, update wifi drivers, i have reset wifi router, I don't know what else to try.

Is it software or hardware. I have no idea.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is definitely hardware. I think first of all if the speed is nowhere near the advertised speed of your provider you should make sure your router/modem isn't in a tight space blocked by big objects firstly. Also, check if it is your pc wifi or your wifi in general by doing speed tests on your phone and pc. speedtest.net   . Let me know what happens.

Hi, so I figured out that my old pcie wifi card was part of the problem. So I bought a new one and now I'm getting my full speeds. My old card would reach a max of 60 but I am paying for 175. Now i get that with a new wifi card. But i still lose connection after 5 or so minutes. I ran memtest86 over night and I got no errors so i dont think its ram. The only reason I thought it was ram is because it takes time for the problem to occur. Maybe the ram is filling up. Unless memtest86 can be wrong.
