Help with F1 Error

Cyberrenz

Hi Guys!

Hoping you guys can help me I am currently stumped by a F1 Error

Error For raid setup (I dont have a Raid array) SATA is always set to AHCI

This is an old Mobo z170 Maximus from Asus.

Already changed the CMOS battery Bios reset changed Sata cables disabled F1 if error setting load defaults still disabled

But I keep getting the error if I unplug the AC ppwer for 10 seconds

And Bios settings did not save.

The RTC seems to be working as the time on the desktop is up to date

But I am running out of ideas on why this is happening every bootup shows the F1 error.

Thank you guys for any answers

I'm assuming you've tried a different SATA port?

Odd the cmos doesn't save when the battery is new. Obviously a motherboard problem, sounds like an APC could be a stopgap, but I'm stumped too.
