Hi,

at the start of the year, my GPU (AMD RX 5600 xt) started randomly showing a error code in the device manager: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I tried everything, nothing worked. So i returned it and bought a cheap crappy, probably not win10 compatable, GPU for the time being, before i could find and buy a reasonably priced GPU. Now that time has come and it still doesn't work.

Now i managed to get a hold of a Nvidia RTX 2060, but it still doesn't work. It spits out the same error as before. I tried new windows installation, reinstall everything NVIDIA with DDU, bios update, new motherboard, nothing works.

In the device manager, it still shows: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)", in the details the status is: "01802400  DN_HAS_PROBLEM  DN_DISABLEABLE  DN_NT_ENUMERATOR  DN_NT_DRIVER" and the problem code is "0000002B".

My current components are:

motherboard: ASRock b450M PRO4

RAM: 2x8 viper ddr4 3200 CL16

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

SSD: 1TB Crucial P2 i think

PSU: Corsair CV650

I will apriciate any sugestions, i tried everything i could think of on my own.

Ive seen different “causes” looking this part up and code 43, some people say modded vbios (video card bios iirc), some say its caused by a faulty PCIe device/driver interfering, although I havent entirely seen a fix

If it's on multiple cards, itd probably guess it's the motherboard or CPU.

Can you try them in another PC?

Code 43 is less than helpful, it's a general hardware error.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Yeah, the card is brand new, like i have the box still open, so i dont think its the vbios. Faulty PCIe could be, rough i have a second Asus motgerboard i swapped to test it, didnt help. Tried even reinstalling all the chipset drivers. I have a suspicion on the CPU, tough i quite dont know how to test that.

Is there a way to know its the CPU? I have a suspicion it could be it, but no way to test it. I also tought it could be the PSU, but im not sure if that could somehow cause error 43.
