New PC Build

Go to solution Solved by Forleb,

That cooler is very overpriced; You'd be better off with pretty much anything else (Hyper 212, Freezer 34) in terms of cost:performance. As long as that RAM is 3200MHz CL16 then you should be good there. I'll suggest something like a 970 Evo instead of your current choice for the fact that Samsung (and some others) have dedicated cache in there drives, but it isn't the end of the world; The rig I'm using actually has an SN750 in it and does everything it needs to. You'd be 100% safe with a 650W unit unless you plan on upgrading parts of this in the future.

All i'm wondering is if everything will fit in the case and if everything is compatible. Thanks. Also if i'm gonna need any more things like adapters or stuff like that.

Case = Phanteks P300A Mesh

Motherboard = MSI MPG Z490

CPU = Intel i5 10600k

CPU Cooler = Deepcool AS500

GPU = GeForce RTX 3060  (maybe ti idk)

Ram = G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB

Storage = Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe SSD

Power Supply = Corsair RM750x

the Sn750 has a DRAM cache. and many other SSDs. it's not just Samsung that uses them.

Hello,

I don't believe it is fair to say the AS500 is "very overpriced" if you take in consideration its performance over both of the coolers you have mentioned. If you look up reviews for the AS500 (and AS500 Plus), you would notice the AS500 models are being compared with higher end air coolers.  Although not the best metric, TDP is the easiest way to quickly compare cooling performance: The AS500 is rated at 220W, while the 212 and the Freezer 34 are both rated at 150W. With a stock PL1 level TDP rating of 125W for the I5 10600K, the 150W of cooling power of the other two coolers will be passed pretty quickly.
