That's my build. So this problem started happening to me when I had the above stated gpu in my old build. this gpu has been in 2 builds with similar results. I have put in another gpu to see if that helps but the same thing happens. I updated my bios to the most recent, and that apparently didn't help either. I don't really know what to do at this point. If you guys need any more information just let me know, I appreciate your help. Thanks!

PS
If I restart windows explorer it fixes itself temporarily. When I use the highlight function sometimes it will also fix what I highlight. the icons don't turn black but when I mouse over then sometimes the space behind them turns black. I use DDU to delete old drivers when I swap GPUs as well.

I fixed it by downloading the background, putting it in a folder, in my case the photos folder, setting it as the background, and it hasn't happened since

What does that do? I think windows 10 caches your background to your windows account that you've signed into windows 10 with, this background has survived a reinstall.

I don't really know what exactly it does, but when I set it as my background and didnt delete it, it was fine.
