Problems with AMD Radeon drivers.

I am pretty sure this has to affect more people than just me, so what the F is happening with AMD Radeon graphics drivers.

 

I am part-time graphics designer and I have a RX 580 (8gb). For like a past year pretty much all my "professional" programs had some issue at some point.

In every driver version since 2019 there has been always at least one program I use that didn't work properly or didn't work at all. And it is always a different one. It started with Blender, then DaVinci Resolve, then Illustrator, then Cura and Slic3r, then Premiere, then some games didn't work, then Chrome started crashing when playing videos and currently Photoshop doesn't work (and Illustrator does, which is curious).

 

I thought that something was broken, but it was always just fine using integrated graphics. Its entirely possible that my card is faulty, but what is broken at the moment really seem to depend just on the driver version.

 

I tried going between multiple versions of drivers doing clean uninstall between them using both DDU and AMDs own utility.

Every program I use is always a legal copy and up to date... And I cant go to the old driver versions because newer versions of programs don't work with them.

 

I have seen posts on the program specific forums of people having same problems and most of them have responds from developers, that AMD engineers know about them and are working on fixing them... but every time they just broke something else. I think the problem has something to do with OpenGL basing on the selection of programs.

 

I am not expecting technical support I just wanted to vent.
