CPU overheating?

Hi all readers! 

 

Basically there is something wrong with my cpu. A while ago i noticed that my PC started getting slower and louder. I ignored it for a while but i t cannot be ignored anymore since i cant even start a game without my PC borderlining crashing. I installed some programs that let me read my peripherals temps and noticed that my CPU was 90+ degrees celsius and not even with maxium load. My cpu cooler is working fine, i've tested it and ive switched Case fans and thermal paste. But here comes the strange part. Sometimes when i start the PC it works totally fine. It is super quiet, works well and CPU doesn't exceed 50 degrees. If anyone is able to tell me why this only happens so irregularly I would really appreciate it.
