Chrome ctrl W

I opened up chrome and browser for a bit when i tired to close some tabs using ctrl W nothing happens i know my control key is working as i used https://www.keyboardtester.com/ to test it and all other ctrl functions of google chrome have stopped even copy and paste.

What has happened.
