Hi JaxteR,

I agree with the above comment, it is very dependant on your budget you have along with your location within the world as prices change, If you are in a mid to low range budget, the new 750TI will be a beast of a card for a low price, if you can start to then move up, i would look into maybe something like a 770/780 dependant on your budget, on the red side there are also good cards some of the R9 280's are good value, however i am not personally very experienced with AMD, so hopefully one of the other forum members would be able to jump in here to help out :)

Hope This Helps

At the moment i have around 100 pounds but extra funds can be got once i know what i want i can start pulling funds together. I don't mind either amd or nvidia i think they both offer good services in mantle and physx im not a content creator so shadow play isnt needed

I upgraded from a gtx 650ti a few months ago, all the way up to a gtx 780, it was expensive, but worth it.

Budget of £100 = 750 ti from MSI @ £113 (oc's like a beast) or a 7870 on Gumtree or a similar site (not eBay, they sell for more on that). In all honesty unless you up your budget substially (like by £50) it's not worth upgrading in my opinion. If you've not got a lot of cash save another £100 for the same time next year = £200 and grab a 860 which will be a substiaaaal improvement (or amd card, but idk what cards they're gonna release).

How much better would you say it is compared to the 650?

The 780 can hold a pretty steady 60fps on every game I can throw at it on 1080p, but I got it so that I could push higher resolutions in the future as well :)

He said at present he has around £100, so the 780 at around £350 isn't really a suitable option for him, just saying.

At OP, if you can scrape together some extra funds you can get an r9 270x for about £140, or a 750ti for about £110. I've no experience with either card, and I'm no expert, but they're decent and cheap.

Being a student makes things harder but im sure i can get something together at some point thanks guys :D I'll probably save money and upgrade later on. A total amount im willing to spend on graphics cards will probably be round 300 -350 pounds so ill need to decide amd or nvidia but ill decide later on when g sync and mantle have started being implemented some more
