I'm building a computer for a friend and was wondering if a SilverStone ST50F-ESG Strider Essential 500W Gold PSU would be enough for this system as there is a pretty good deal on it at the moment.

the system includes:
fx 8320

gtx 760

8gb kingston ram

1 monitor

he doesn't plan to overclock the system at all, he does plan on gaming a fair bit and general work.

Would this powersuply be enough or should I get a higher one?

Also he doesn't plan on getting a second graphics card at this time.

It's plenty and almost a bit overkill.

The psu calculator says 380w is enough if I go over and shoot for the 500w psu will that be bad or is it ok or should I take a 400 or 430 instead?

A decent 500w or solid 450w would do. I would go with a smaller psu unless it was a great unit--smaller psus tend to not have enough connectors as well.
