Yesterday, I built a computer for my friend, using the MSI Tomahawk b550 and the Ryzen 5 5600x, and everything seemed to be going well, until I tried to install windows, and then I hit a weird hiccup. When it went to restart, the computer screen froze, and was left on a restarting logo not moving. We waited for 5 minutes, and then I hit restart on the case, and it restarted up and we got into through the windows install. After that, he started doing windows updates, and when it automatically queued for a restart, it shut off the computer like it would for a restart, but would not come back on, until he hit the reset button. We thought it was a weird issue where he had to manually restart his computer for updates, but when he went to power off his computer, he clicked shut down through the windows window, and instead of shutting down his computer, his fans kept spinning, and his lighting program kept working. He then held his power button down for 5 seconds, and it shut off his computer. I have no idea what is causing this, I have a few assumptions of what the problem could be, where it is either the BIOS of the motherboard, or a bad driver on the windows download, I just want to be able to help him fix his computer, so it can turn on and off properly, which may be one of the weirder troubleshooting problems I have encountered.

Did you update BIOS at all in this?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
