Budget (including currency): $1000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming / Gaming

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I need a monitor and if you think it's best I don't mind staying with onboard graphics until prices go down.

There isn’t an integrated graphics system that can game effectively at more than 1080p (it’s often lower). However, a lot of newer cards of the type you seem to want to buy in the future are somewhat hobbled at 1080p and prefer larger resolutions.  If you’re going to get a new monitor with the new card 1080p would be a max.  If you want to keep the monitor  true 4k could make sense as it scales well down to 1080p (4pixels to one). 1k is a lot for a monitor, so true 4k may be the best solution to do both.  1080p monitors are often very very cheap though.  Like $100. So it could make sense to buy a cheap low Rez monitor now and wait, saving your money, till you buy a card then base it on that.  Stuff in computers tends to get better over time (excepting the current gpu situation) so you could do better later.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Or just turn down the game resolution in settings?

this should be pretty good, i left some money for the monitor, note, the mobo i chose is out of stock, so u might have to get a more expensive one. use the gpu to handle the live stream.

Can work. It can look bad though.  True4k ->1080p avoids dithering.  Text will remain nice and sharp

seems like reasonable changes, but he said that the monitor was part of the budget. but the hhd isn't so good (its an smr hhd, meaning that it will slow down overtime as it fills up).

I think that there was also a statement he was looking for an apu/iGPU solution because he doesn’t think a GPU at msrp is actually gettable.

The no gpu at all thing goes 11700 (no k, stock cooler) in order to get the Xe iGPU, a b (or possibly z) mobo that has enough VRM to cover the 11700 but probably no more because it doesn’t overclock, but also has the pcie4 and whatever i/o that is needed this is still lower end for z but may be upper end for b series, 2 8gb or 2 16gb sticks of memory at the max the mobo can handle if B series or as fast as he can afford if z mobo, a big cheapo off brand sata SSD (1 BT or bigger. It will become this slow storage drive when Nvme actually becomes useful) a lower end airflow case, and some cheapass used business 1080p monitor.  Cheapest thing that can be found that has HDMI (dvi or vga are no longer usable)   That’s a system that should go for well under a grand so take the rest of the money and put it in a 1 year CD or bond or whatever. some sort of financial instrument to keep him/her from blowing the money for a year.  When that matures, take the cash along with whatever else one manages to save and get a GPU a fast small m.2 Pcie4 if needed, and the appropriate monitor to go with it.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
