Hello everyone in this category, I have a 750watt 80+ Gold Unit from micro center being the PowerSpec brand. It has two 8 pin pcie connectors, and the psu comes with an 8 pin to dual 6 pin and an 8 pin to dual 8 pin. The single ends, (not the dual), could they be plugged in to the psu if only one connector is populated? (In the psu)

I have a hard time understanding what you are describing. You are saying that the power supply has two 8 pin PCIe connectors correct? and that they are both attached to their own cable?

if i recall correctly, the 1080 ti gaming X trio only uses two 8 pin PCIe connectors, so it sounds like you are good to go

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I understand, but the cable that has dual 8 pin ends, on the other end, has one 8 pin head. Is this ok?

The PSU side only goes into the PSU and the GPU side you circled can be used to power the GPU on one or both 8pins off the same cable.

You're overcomplicating this.

The side with the single 8-pin goes into the PSU.  The side with the two 8-pins goes to the graphics card.  You can use either one or two of those connectors.  Doesn't matter.
