Hey,

I am new to pc gaming, and also new to the forum but i have a question

I bought myself a msi stealth 15m a11uek-046nl gaming laptop. It has a 11th gen i7 and a rtx 3060 max-Q

I think its a pretty good laptop but i feel like its performing really poorly. For instance, i tried playing apex legends but i onely got 40 fps on high settings. So i thought lets try minecraft because you can run that on a potato but minecraft onely got 60 fps. I think something is wrong but i can't find out what. I have already updated all my drivers ect. I also put my battery on high performance and i put my graphics settings on high performance.

Does someone know whats wrong? Or can someone help me find the problem?

Also, when i open a simple program like chrome or when i am just on my home screen the laptop starts blasting air

The rtx2000 series version known for serious temp issues which then lead to serious performance issues. Monitor temps and see how bad it is. Try with msi afterburner and also look at the frequencies of both gpu and cpu during gaming.

I would not be suprised that it's cooking itself and downclocking. Especially since you say chrome causes a woosh already. common thing for thin gaming machines that use intel really. Or well are made by msi in the last couple years as their cooling is less than stellar.

Hi, tnx for your reaction!

But i have a 3060 idk if that makes a difference. But i mean 60 fps even in minecraft it shouldn't be that low right? I have watched reviews of this exact model and they where able to get way and way more out of it. I mean they even played cyberpunk at 60 fps...
