Hi, i have a setup im trying to get working.

Using all old hardware I had in my computer about 3 months ago.

Current specs:

MSI z97 gaming 5

I5-4690k with stockcooler

Coolermaster 620w

8gb hyperx ram

Kingston 480gb ssd

This setup worked 3 months ago but in another chassi. Processor hasn't been removed since last time so it not a pin issue. But when I install new Windows 10 on it it boots up fine. But when I restart the computer I just get "Page fault in nonpaged area". So I can start it up and use if for however long I want on the first boot but doesn't let me boot it up a second time. Also I'm without a graphics card atm but I'm just using the onboard one to setup the computer.

As far as I can se the RAM is being detected. Same goes with the processor staying at 36 idle temp when I check bios.

I even tried reinstalling windows again to see if it would do the same and it did. Let me boot it at first then decided to not boot up again.

I've tried different ram and tried with only one stick in both slot 2 and 4 nothing helps.

I've tried to clear cmos by removing battery as I don't hade the 2 pin connector to reset the motherboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

to reset cmos u can just any object that conducts power for example a house key. other than this it can be a harddrive issue or a faulty windows install file.

Sorry forgot to mention above. I've tried different ssd. And a m.2 nvme. Tried different windows boot files aswell. Should I try resetting cmos via the pins? Or is it enough by removing the battery?
