Is Shadow Worth It?

wassup

Recently I just watched Linus' video regarding gaming streaming services. Most of them seemed pretty horrible to me due to their horrendous selection of titles. However, he did mention a a Shadow service at the end of the video. After doing some research, I found out that this service allowed you to rent a full pc instead of just a game library. This was awesome to me, but I am reluctant to actually try this because they are going bankrupt. If you guys think that it is a bad idea to even try Shadow, then which other services would be worth trying out?
And If you're wondering, I do have a PC for myself, but I want to play with a friend who doesn't

nobody can predict the future of Shadow, so there's no way to know what is happening or will happen.

The main problem with shadow is the lack of any possible replacement for it

Well, I'd say enjoy it while it lasts? If you take a monthly sub you don't risk much if they close. It's not like the others where you buy games on the specific platform, here you just use whatever games you already own.

Yeah I will try that. My gtx 970 has been sluggish too. Can't even rung some older games rn. but yeah I will make a subscription, because their 1080 system should be much better.

970 has been sluggish?

Sure its not new but I think that card should be fine at 60fps at 1080p med on most games with the the few exceptions of cyperpunk and MSFL2020. What are you trying to do with the 970?

The 970 is pretty powerful but only 4GB of VRAM can cause issues with some current games, that's why I replaced mine back then.

I'm not saying it's slow, but it's getting to the point where I'm running games at the absolute lowest settings while having 60fps. Some games won't even run at the absolute lowest settings like cyberpunk. Its absolutely good, and that's why I was considering the services for a friend. Besides, my CPU is outdated and so is my ram. The GPU is fine, but it struggles with 8gb and a 4th gen i5 sometimes. Again, I'm not saying its bad, but in two years I'd say this setup might see its end. Its hard to find CPU comparisons online, but I've head from friends that the difference from a core i5 4590 from 2014 and a modern CPU is huge, but I don't even know.
