Worth it. I've given it as a gift, used it myself, really nice premium tool kit

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i've been looking at iFixit stuff for a long time.. and have yet to make up my mind for what to actually buy.

on that note, i'm not a fan of the 'pro tech toolkit'. it's a fairly complete collection of tools, to the point that you'll probably never use half of what's included.

it's a GREAT gift if you're buying for someone else, and the 'everything in one bag' concept is great if you have to take it on the road a lot.. but if it's for yourself i'd strongly suggest looking at what other packages they have, and which of those things you are interested in. chances are you'll be able to take the cost of the pro tech toolkit, and buy 3 or 4 seperate items from them for around the same total cost, and have more tools you'll actually use.

ass for the cheaper kit question.. IMO there's 3 options:

- buy ifixit stuff

- buy REALLY nice name-brand screwdriver/toolsets.

- buy chinese garbage for 1/10th of the price, and dont care if you break something.

since i tend to break my tools every so often (by using them in ways they're not meant to be used, ofcourse..) i'm a big fan of the 'chinese garbage' side of the argument, because replacing a €0.90 tool is much less painful than accidentially bending your €15 tweezer set.

on the flip side.. if you're really careful with your tools, or rely on a propper set of tweezers for your job.. it's probably best to get a nice set.
