First PC build!

Budget (including currency): $850 - $1,000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex Legends, Star Wars Battlefront 2, It Takes Two

Other details:

I want to keep this is inexpensive as possible while still getting a decent gaming experience. Right know I play Apex on a 16'' Macbook Pro (feel free to make fun of me XD) and it's honestly not bad! So a build that is anything similar or better in performance, by comparison, is what I'm looking for. 1080p at 60FPS and I'm happy. I am in no rush to buy this, I'm willing to wait for deals and offers to come up. I already have peripherals so just looking for build help.

This is what I have so far.  https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hmpxK3 (I haven't bought a PC cooler yet so if the one I chose isn't great I would love suggestions that are around the same price)

So the questions I have are about the cases and motherboards that I have found, so I need some guidance. Are they good? Are they compatible? ATX vs Mico ATX? I ask here because most of these components don't show up on PC Part Picker.

Here are some motherboards I'm looking at. (I want to stay under or around $100)

(I like the onboard graphics but would it be enough to use on it's own until a can find a decent graphics card?)

Here are some cases I found. (Under or around $50)

Sorry this is so long winded! I just want to make sure everything is going to work well and avoid as many noob mistakes as possible. If you have any other suggestions for alternative parts please share!

Thank you so so much!!

Since your already like a laptop gamer, why not just buy a gaming laptop? There's lots of them under 1000 dollars assuming excluding taxes.

Current Setup: PC

I just think that going with a laptop would be more beneficial with you, but otherwise there are some ppl giving you some suggestions.

I get that. I just don't want a gaming laptop. Do you have any insights about my questions?
