Hi everyone! Currently I have a i5 8600k and i managed to get my hands on a I7 11700k. unfortuntely i brought it from work as part of a pre order type thing before any reviews come out as i thought they would sell out straight away like everything else. My question is should i go ahead and keep the i7 11700k or return it and wait for a year or so for intel to bring something good to the market or just go for a ryzen 7 5800x?

If you got a good deal on it, then I'd personally keep it. The 11700K is supposed to be a good chip. It's the i9 that everyone's up in arms about

Laptop - ASUS ZenBook 14 with ScreenPad, i7-1165G7, Xe iGPU 96EU, 16GB Octa-Channel 4200MHz, MX450 2GB, 512GB SSD with 32GB Optane

Old Laptop 1 - HP Pavilion 15, A10-9600P, R5 iGPU, 8GB, R8 M445DX, 2TB HDD

Old Laptop 2 - HP Pavilion 15 TouchSmart, i3-3217U, Intel HD 4000, 4GB, 1TB HDD

I got it for £351 and brought a msi z590i unify to go with it. Do you recon thats a good price?

On some sites it's still going for about 30 quid more, was the mobo included or a separate purchase? Either way though, that's not a bad price at all imo
