I recently bought a HP G1 800 SFF desktop and I’ve planned to do some upgrades to it. One of them is adding more RAM. Currently running Crucial memory at 1600mhz 2x4GB DDR3 non-ECC.

Today I bought a pair of 2x4GB Hyperx RAM (attached file). It’s 1866mhz RAM (ish, I know it’s above 1800 for sure) with CL10, non-ECC.

When I plug these in a long with the other RAM the pc gives a loud single beep sound and no post.  I’ve tried to check if it could be a timing issue with the mobo but can’t find any info.

ive also tried putting only a single a lot in at a time with no different outcome.

Any suggestions?
