New PC Build

Country: UK

Other details: Looking to play at 1080p high settings on most games. As lockdown restrictions ease in the UK I am starting to earn money again, hoping to buy the parts by the end of the summer, hopefully before. I also hope by this time the GPU shortage would of stopped and I am able to get one for retail price. So due to this I'm not too sure on my budget however I estimate around £1000. Please let me know about what you think of my current list.

Parts:

• Motherboard: MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE
• CPU: I5-10600K 
• CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Edition
• Storage: (Not sure, help needed.)
• Video Card: 3060ti (Retail Price)
• Case: NZXT H510 ELITE (Matte Black)
• RAM: DDR4 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200 MHz
• PSU: (Also not sure.)

I have never built my own PC before, never even owned a proper desktop, it has always been on a laptop so I am new too this. I also apologise if I have formatted this wrong etc, this is my first time posting on the forum.

I would not go for an h510 elite, it doesn’t have a lot of airflow. A P360a would be better.

As for storage, I would go with a 1TB SN550. If you need a lot of storage you can lower the size of your SN550 to 500gb and get a 2TB hard drive. For power supply I would probably go with a cxm 750.

Rest of the system seems fine overall.

Thank you so much for your help! I have had quite a lot of people tell me the NZXT H510 ELITE isn't the best case to go with however it is just an absolute dream for me and might be quite a tough decision. Thank you so much for the advice!

If you really like the case, it’s fine. Just know that airflow won’t be the greatest. At the end of the day you should buy what you want, I’m just here to give advice.

Do you feel like this will affect my performance and temperatures of my GPU to an extent where I will notice it in games etc?

Not to the point where it will throttle or harm performance, it just might be a 5 degrees celcius above what it should which is a little toasty but not *that* bad
