Budget (including currency): $1500 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: light gaming, school work.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):I'm new to the forum and new to pc gaming in general and I currently use a very cheap hp laptop for my school work. I am looking to upgrade to a desktop pc. I am ready to build my own but just do not know where to start in selecting parts. I am not against buying a pre built if that is the better option.  If anyone has any recomendations on where to buy parts or a pre built and what is a good parts list for mid tier performance on games like rocket league and warzone that would be much appreciated. Thank You.

If you want to get a graphics card in the next months, prebuilts like this one are basically your only bet.

As you can see compared to the build above, there will be a bit weaker CPU and less storage (motherboard and other things might be worse too), but you will be able to get an elusive 30 series graphics card
