No, no it's not.. If OP is gaming on a 1080p display he'd be better off with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127774&clickid=V3uzlISEr1OWySqwKb0e5XoNUkTTelxzhWUd3c0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na 2 of those furnaces right next to eachother in crossfire is not going to be a good experience.

I do want crossfire

As long as you're watercooling, then reference 290's will be great. I was merely pointing out that crossfire reference 290's with reference coolers is not something you'll want. It'd be super loud and hot. I was merely pointing out that spending a bit more on custom coolers would be much better. But if you're going to watercool, my point is moot.
