audio driver issue

So with the base windows hd audio drivers, both my front and rear audio io work, but the front mic port puts off a robotic crackling noise. With realtek installed, the mic problem is alleviated, but the rear audio io won't work and the front registers as speakers instead of headphones. I can't seem to get realtek audio manager to open as well. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both drivers in different orders and using windows troubleshooting with the same results. Windows 10 and asus z270a motherboard.
