Hi, I recently installed a RAID 0 array in my PC and upgraded the SSD with a Sabrent Rocket NVMe. Since I did this, the problems started to happen: at every startup of my PC, programs like Advanced SystemCare Ultimate, EA Desktop, CrystalDiskMark (and I think orther disk related programs and applications) won't start, or sometimes they start but I have to force close them, because they don't open/work properly and are stuck.
Antoher strange thing is the fact that at startup my disk usage is always 100%, and only after a few minutes it stabilize itself and becomes normal.
I updated all my drivers (especially the Intel RST one) and Windows 10. I also did a clean install, twice. But the problem is still happening.
Any idea about what could be the problem and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance.

MY PC CONFIGURATION

  • RAM: 32GB at 3000MHz
  • MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus Gaming WIFI 3
  • GPU: Gigabyte Aorus WindforceX2 RTX2070
  • SSD: Sabrent Rocket 1TB
  • HDD: 2x Seagate Barracuda 4TB in RAID 0

if you did a clean install including re-installing those apps I say it's not windows related so check if your nvme drive is set as SSD and not as sata HDD on bios.

keep an eye on ram configuration, is xmp active? if yes can you connect only one module and test to be sure there isn't a faulty one?

I checked the SSD with the Sabrent program and Crystal DiskMark and the speeds are in line with the product, thus chatting with the Sabrent's support they said that this is a software related issue. The XMP profile is active and checking one module at a time it seems there are no problems with the memory, as it also shows up in BIOS and task manager without any problem.

You mean opening the case? I can try, but other than change some SATA cables, I don't know what to do, because the two HDD drivers are healthy.

I'm thinking about something loading incorrectly from those HDD so disconnecting them can at least take away some crazy theory

I've been thinking from the beginning that this could be a problem related to the HDD in RAID0, but they seems fine, and also the programs that causes this problem are installed onto the SSD. I'll give this fix a try, at least to find which part is really the causing factor.
Thanks for helping 🙏🏼
